Lakes Entrance: The Floating Dragon Jetty for king george whiting and sand whiting on shrimp. Nungurner Jetty also has whiting taking pipi as preferred bait. The surf beaches for salmon. Off shore at six mile reef for good size snapper and leather jacket.
Lake Tyers: Down around the island and towards the Tavern in deeper water for bream, flathead, and tailor taking lures. Long Point and Blackfellows Arm for bream on prawn. The Glass House area for the odd flathead.
Mitchell River: The Wy Yung bridge and backwater for bream, best results with green sprat tails with a light jig head. From Shadoof Lodge and down to the cut for bream taking spider crab, prawn and pipis.
Tambo River: Good size bream are about from the mid-afternoon and heading down toward the mouth of the river. Best results using pipis.
Nicholson: Try between the two bridges with a drifting prawn for bream and from the second fence to the river mouth with pipi and local prawn.
Metung: The best spots for bream are the board walk and town jetties with local prawn and soft plastics as well. Some whiting is about on pipi and worm.
Paynesville: Bream are about the town jetties as well as mullet. Ocean Grange is producing good salmon with pilchards and poppers.
Hollands Landing: Seacombe Landing, Wood Pile and to Medusa Point for bream and mullet on worm, prawn and soft plastics lures. Blonde Bay is worth a try.
Marlo: The system is producing a good variety of fish. Bream are about, luderick are at the rock groynes and perch around the snags. Mullet are also around. The Entrance for salmon and tailor. Flathead are cruising around. The surf for salmon and tailor. Off- shore for flathead, shark, gummies and pinkies.
Bemm River: The Entrance is still open. The lake has bream taking local prawn, blades and vibes. The river is also worth a try. Pearl Point for salmon on blue bait and poppers.
Tamboon Inlet: The river mouth for bream taking peeled prawn. The football ground is still good for pinkies and trevally on pilchard and blue bait. The lake also has bream and the surf for salmon.
Mallacoota: The hot spot for luderick is Harrisons Channel on weed. The entrance for salmon on the incoming tide. The Narrows for flathead on pilchard.
Omeo High Country: The best spot for trout at the moment is the Mitta Mitta using lures for best results.
