Lakes Entrance: The Footbridge for trevally on blue bait. The Nungurner Jetty and the Kalimna Jetty for whiting taking pipis. Eastern Beach for salmon with blue bait. Offshore at Six and Eight Mile Reef for pinkies and a mixed variety of fish taking pilchard and squid.
Lake Tyers: Burnt Bridge and Cherry Tree are good spots for bream, best results using prawn. Long Point is producing good size flathead using soft plastics, pilchard and prawn. The surf beach for gummies taking salted mackerel.
Mitchell River: The two bridges and Backwater for perch using diving lures and soft plastics. Bream are in the river system as far down as The Bluff with worm, prawn and cut crab as the best baits.
Tambo River: Down the Metung Road from Whelan’s, Rough and Reynolds Roads for bream on worm, prawn and shrimp.
Nicholson: Bream are about from The Two Paddocks and heading up to The Cliffs with worm and shrimp as preferred baits.
Metung: Tambo Light, The Snags and heading upriver are the best spots for bream taking worm, shrimp and prawn.
Paynesville: The town structures and jetties are best spots for mullet taking worm. Bream are still active at Dawson Point on prawn and worm.
Hollands Landing: Seacombe Landing, The Wood Pile, Hollands Landing and Blonde Bay are best for bream with soft plastics, shell, prawn and worm.
Marlo: The rock groynes for luderick. The Junction and around the islands for bream taking prawn. The surf for salmon. Some tailor taking lures on the incoming tide. Offshore is fishing well.
Bemm River: The entrance is still open. Upriver for bream on worm, local prawn and soft plastics. Some tailor are also about. The surf for salmon with pilchard and poppers.
Tamboon Inlet: From the river mouth and heading further up the river for bream using peeled prawn. For trevally and pinkies Peters Rock is the best spot with blue bait and pilchard for bait.
Mallacoota: The place to be now is Harrisons Channel with luderick taking weed. Big salmon are chasing lures. Bream on prawn. Gypsy Point is also good for bream at the lower reaches of the Genoa River.
Omeo High Country: The best spots for trout are the Mitta Mitta, Livingstone and the Bundara Rivers with spinner, lures and wobblers.
