Lakes Entrance: Tailor, Trevally and Salmon are being caught at all the town jetties, bait of choice is worm and pilchard. The surf for Salmon taking lures and pilchard. Offshore at Six mile Reef for Pinkies, Morwong and Nanagi.
Lake Tyers: Bream at Mill Point and Burnt Bridge on lures. Some Flathead in the upper reaches of the Nowa Nowa Arm. On the outgoing tide at the mouth for Salmon using lures.
Mitchell River: From Grassy Banks and towards the river mouth for Bream, best results with spider crab, prawn and worm.
Tambo River: From the boat ramp and down to The Snags for Bream. Best bait is prawn, shrimp and spider crab.
Nicholson: Heading down stream towards the river mouth for Bream on worm and prawn.
Metung: The jetties for Bream, Mullet and Trevally. The Boardwalk and up to Chinaman’s Creek is also worth a try. The baits to use are vibes, prawn, worm and shrimp.
Paynesville: Fishing is a bit quiet, but try town jetties, the Straits and Sunset Drive Boat Ramp for Mullet on worm and shrimp.
Hollands Landing: Spooners Landing, Plover Point, The Wood Pile and Tom’s Creek for Bream and Mullet . Use worm, shrimp and pippis.
Marlo: The boat ramp and The Cut on the Snowy for Bream taking sandworm. The beach for Salmon and Tailor using poppers and pilchard. Offshore for Gummies, Flathead and Barracouta, Try all mixed baits.
Tamboon Inlet: Aeroplane Rocks, Peter’s Rock and in the main lake for Bream and Tailor. Try prawn, worm and plastics for best results. The surf beach is also worth a try for Salmon.
Bemm River: Nice 1kg Bream are being caught in the lake with the best results coming from using sandworm and soft plastics. Tailor are about taking lures and plastics. The entrance is still open.
Mallacoota: Salmon at Davies Creek taking pilchard, poppers and lures. The Main Wharf on the incoming tide for Luderick on local weed. Trevally are taking pilchard, also on the incoming tide. Bream are in the Bottom Lake taking yabbies and prawn.
Omeo High Country: Season Closed.
