Lakes Entrance: Kingfish at the footbridge taking prawn and soft plastics. Heading towards the entrance on the sand flats for flathead on soft plastics. Bunga Beach for salmon. Offshore at Six Mile Reef for pinkies and snapper. Closer to the beach for gummies and flathead on the usual baits.
Lake Tyers: In the main lake for flathead taking soft plastics. Trevally and tailor are chasing bait fishand smashing soft plastics. Some nice bream are about taking prawn.
Mitchell River: The best spot for bream and flathead is the bottom end of the river near The Cut and river flats. Best results on spider crab, prawn and soft plastics.
Tambo River: Bream are being caught from the Three Gums and all the way down to the snags. Best bait being shrimp, prawn and soft plastics.
Nicholson: Bream up to 1.1kg are about at the Tyres. Best bait is fresh local prawn.
Metung: The back beach is the best spot for prawning.
Paynesville: Tailor are active in the lake system with best resultshad from trolling with lures. Kingfish are about taking live baits.
Hollands Landing: The Strait is the best spot for bream, flathead and mullet using white bait, prawn, cut pilchard and worm.
Marlo: The river system is still muddy and not good for fishing.
Bemm River: Owing to the closure of the Princes Highway at Orbost there is no fishing reports east of Orbost.
Tamboon Inlet: As above.
Mallacoota: As above.
Omeo High Country: Fishing impacted due to the drought and bushfires.
