Lakes Entrance: Local town jetties are producing King George and Silver Whiting on local prawn. Eastern Beach, Bunga Beach and the Main Beach has Salmon and Tailor. Best bait is blue bait. Plenty of fish offshore at 6 Mile Reef, Snapper around 2kg and Gummies, taking pilchard and squid.
Lake Tyers: Good size Bream and Flathead are being landed around Blackfellows Arm, Long Point and Pile Bay Track. Best bait is local prawn and soft plastics. The surf beach is also worth a look for Salmon and Tailor.
Mitchell River: From the Highway Bridge and up to the Backwater for Perch on prawn and worm. Shadoof Lodge to the Bluff and Two Bells for Bream on soft shell and spider crab.
Tambo River: From the power lines to Rough Road for Bream and the odd Flathead. Best bait is frozen worm and peeled prawn.
Nicholson: From the river mouth and up to the the Little Cliffs, good size Bream are being caught on fresh whole prawn (not peeled), around the jetties is a good spot to try. Bream are coming back up the river.
Metung: Bream and Whiting are being caught on local prawn from Shaving Point and up to the Boardwalk. Lake King Jetty and up to Tambo Bay is also worth a try.
Paynesville: Bream are in the Straits and from the jetties, on worm and pippis. On Raymond Island around Gravelly Point for Flathead on soft plastics.
Hollands Landing: Bull Bay and towards the Woodpile for Bream on peeled prawn and crab.
Marlo: Luderick, Bream and Mullet are in the lake and rivers, best bait is prawn and worm. The surf has Salmon and Tailor, taking white and blue bait and silver lures. Offshore has Barracouta, Pinky Snapper and Gummies on metal lures.
Tamboon Inlet: Pelican Point and towards the camp ground for Perch and Bream, best bait is fresh prawn and worm. Try the surf beach for Salmon and Tailor.
Bemm River: The entrance is now open and clearing up. 2kg Bream and some Flathead are in the channel and lake, best bait is local prawn, spider crab and soft plastics. The Surf has 2kg salmon taking metal lures.
Mallacoota: Fisheries Wharf for Flathead and Trevally, taking blue bait. Flathead are in The Narrows on live mullet, soft plastics and pilchards. The Main Wharf for Yellow Fin Bream. Luderick are also about.
Omeo High Country: River levels have been rising and the Trout are moving upstream getting ready to sporn. Deep holes at early morning and dusk are the best spots, using worm and gold or silver wobblers.
