Weekly FIshing Report Lakes Entrance

Lakes Entrance Fishing Report

Lakes Entrance: The footbridge and Myer Street Jetty for Trevally on pilchards. The car park opposite the Black Swan Motor Inn for Trevally and Flathead. Bunga Beach and Eastern Beach have good size Salmon up to 2kg on lures, blue bait and squid. Nungurner Jetty for Whiting on pippis. Offshore for Snapper, Gummies and Morwong on pilchard.

Lake Tyers: Flathead up to 48cm are in lower parts of the Lake, taking prawn and soft plastics. Flathead 80cm plus are in the upper reaches of Blackfellows Arm, Nowa Nowa and Toorloo Arm. Camerons Arm and Devils Hole for Bream. No.2 Boat Ramp for Skipjack on the incoming tide

Mitchell River: The Highway Bridge is still producing Perch, taking lures and soft plastics. Down at The Cut and the river flats for Bream, best bait is prawn and shrimp.

Tambo River: The Lucerne Paddock and up to the Blue Hole for Bream on peeled prawn.

Nicholson: From the Swimming Hole, the Highway Bridge and up to the Straight Six for Bream, the bait to use is peeled prawn, live shrimp and soft plastics.

Metung: Box’s Creek and Chinaman’s Creek for Bream, Mullet and Estuary Perch, Peeled prawn and shrimp are the best baits. Bell Point and Nungurner for Whiting and Mullet on worm, 1 hour either side of high and low tide.

Paynesville: The town jetties and straits for Yellow Fin Bream, best bait is bread. Tailor at Eagle Point Bay on lures. The mouth of the Mitchell River for Luderick on weed and worm. Ocean Grange for Gummies taking pilchard and squid, on the full moon,

Hollands Landing: McLennan Straits is producing Bream on spider crab and prawn, towards dusk for best results. Jones Bay, Toms Creak and Cameron Point are worth a try.

Marlo: Plenty of Luderick, Mullet and Bream throughout the river system, best results are with sandworm and prawn. The surf is producing Salmon, Tailor and Shark. Offshore for Snapper, Gummies and Flathead on pilchard and squid.

Tamboon Inlet: The lake is fishing well. The Football Ground for good Flathead on prawn and hard bodied lures. Pelican Point for Bream taking prawn and in the lake there are large Tailor to be had on pilchard and lures.

Bemm River: The river mouth and lakes for Bream on prawn, live baits and lures. Siberia, Ludrick and Pelican Point for Flathead on soft plastics and prawn.

Mallacoota: The Flathead Comp. was success with catch and release. The surf for Salmon and Bream, best baits pilchard and poppers. Yellow Fin Whiting are about taking bass yabbies.

Omeo High Country: Bundara, Mitta Mitta and the Victoria Rivers are producing good Trout, wobblers, spinners and floating worm are the best baits to try.
