Lakes Entrance: Myer street jetty for bream and trevally, using prawn and pilchards for best results. Bunga Beach for salmon with pilchards and poppers. Off shore has been rough and windy but have pinkies around the Six and Eight Mile Reef.
Lake Tyers: Bream are about Long Point and Mill Point, best bait is prawn, also try the upper reaches and Devil Hole for bream and flathead.
Mitchell River: Backwaters to Shadoof Lodge for bream plus there is mullet around Shadoof Lodge. Two Bells is also worth a look for bream, best bait is spider crab and worm.
Tambo River: Power lines the highway bridge up to the Blue Hole, the cliffs are the best spots for bream with shrimp as preferred bait. The Twin Rivers competition is on this weekend sat 20th- Sunday 21 July.
Nicholson: From the highway bridge and down to the river mouth for bream on shrimp and prawn also try for the Reeds and up to the Strait Six as well.
Metung: Boxes and Chinamans Creek for bream and mullet. The Rock wall and Metung Wharf are also good spots for bream and mullet. Nungurner Jetty is also worth a look.
Paynesville: Good size bream is in the McMillan Strait with best bait being shrimp. Some Mullet are also taking worm.
Hollands Landing: Bream are about Jones Bay and Tom’s Creek and other areas like Cameron Point to Storm Point and Loch Sport Jetties for bream and mullet.
Marlo: Bream are on the move with the best spots to try are Bream Point and the Islands. Some mullet is about with worm as preferred bait. Surf for salmon on pilchards and poppers. Off shore has been quite windy.
Bemm River: Bream and tailor are in the river, best results using lures and soft plastics.
Tamboon Inlet: Good size bream is at the river mouth and at Furnell Landing best bait being fresh prawn.
Mallacoota: Some bream is about in the Bottom Lake also in the Top Lake and up to Gypsy Point. Producing bream and flathead with prawn as preferred bait.
Omeo High Country: CLOSED SEASON.
