Lakes Entrance: Bullock island is producing Salmon chasing laser lures. Surf beaches are also good for salmon with pilchard and poppers. Offshore at Six Mile Reef for pinkies.
Lake Tyers: The best spots for bream are from Trident Arm and up to Cameron’s Arm. Bait of choice being prawn and worm. Bag limits are being reached.
Mitchell River: Perch are at the highway bridge and the Wy Yung bridge, best time around 4 – 5pm using soft plastics and hard bodied diving lures. Bream are around The Barrier and towards the Two Bells. Best bait is unweighted local prawn.
Tambo River: From the river mouth and heading towards the Powerlines and all the way to The Cliffs for bream. The baits to use are yabbies and fresh shrimp.
Nicholson: At the front of the caravan park for juvenile bream taking prawn. The highway bridge for good size mullet taking worm.
Metung: Metung Wharf, the Boardwalk and the rock wall for bream, trevally and mullet using worm, shrimp and peeled prawn.
Paynesville: Good mullet are being caught in McMillan Strait with worm as bait. Bream are about The Cut with local prawn.
Hollands Landing: McLennan Strait, Seacombe Landing and The Woodpile for bream, mullet and tailor. Best baits are worm, prawn and cut pilchard.
Marlo: There are bream, luderick and mullet throughout the lake system. The surf for salmon on pilchard and poppers.
Bemm River: Tailor are in the river taking soft plastics and metal lures. Bream are also about the river taking soft plastics.
Tamboon Inlet: Bream are at the river mouth and up to Furnell Landing on prawn. Trevally are in the system taking blue bait, prawn and pilchard.
Mallacoota: The Top Lake is best for bream and the odd flathead. Heading up to Gypsy Point and towards Genoa for best results. Harrison’s Channel for luderick on weed.
Omeo High Country: CLOSED SEASON.
