Lakes Entrance: Trevally are about the town jetties with pilchards. Surf beach is best for salmon, taking pilchard and poppers, also try metal lures. Try Six and Eight Mile Reef for pinkies.
Lake Tyers: Flathead are at Black Fellows Arm, and Mill Point. In deeper water, bait of choice is blue bait and large prawn. Try Crystal Bay for bream. Bait by choice is prawn and worm.
Mitchell River: Wy Yung bridge and the highway bridge have perch. Best results are in the early morning and the late afternoon. Use soft plastics and hard body lures. The Bluff and heading towards the river mouth for Bream. Use unweighted local prawn.
Tambo River: Beam are at Punt House Point and towards Clues Bluff and the Marshalls Flat. Bait of choice being used is shrimp and yabbies.
Nicholson: Between the two bridges are producing mullet with worm as preferred bait.
Metung: Whiting are at Shaving Point taking worm as their preferred bait. Bream are around the town jetties, peeled prawn as preferred bait. Also, flathead are about.
Paynesville: Bream and Mullet are about the town jetties and the Strait. Best results with worm and prawn.
Hollands Landing: Jones Bay and Blonde Bay are good spots to try for Bream, Mullet, Flathead and the odd Luderick. Best results with worm, soft shell and peeled prawn.
Marlo: Surf for Salmon with Pilchards and poppers. Lake Curlip for Perch and Bream, use small lures and soft plastic prawns.
Bemm River: The lake is still closed and the water levels are high. Bream are in the lakes and rivers, taking soft plastic lures.
Tamboon Inlet: Bream are about the river mouth and are heading up the river. Best bait to use is prawn. Trevally are in the lake taking prawn as well.
Mallacoota: The Wallagaraugh River and the Geno River are good for Perch, Flathead and Bream. Best results with yabbies, prawns and lures. The bottom lake and Harrisons Channel have Flathead and Luderick on weed.
Omeo High Country: CLOSED SEASON.
