March 7 and March 8, 2020 Long Weekend - cycle the Rail Trail
Cycle the East Gippsland Rail Trail and Gippsland Lakes Discovery Trail over three days while staying two nights in the cute and quirky village of Nowa Nowa, perched on the edge of Lake Tyers.
Each day you will be picked up at the rides end in Orbost, Lakes Entrance and Bairnsdale for transfer back to Nowa Nowa.
This is a great way to experience the rail trail at a special package price as we support the little town of Nowa NOwa whose businesses were left empty during the peak fire crisis.
The East Gippsland Rail Trail is fabulous car free cycling with gentle hills. In spite of recent fires in East Gippsland, the trail corridor was almost completely unaffected, leaving the scenery as lovely as ever.
The trail passes through forest and farmland, and has many historic timber bridges as welll as small towns with friendly people and great food. Perfect for a long weekend cycle!
