Lakes Entrance Carnival

​Chant's Carnival are getting prepared for what promises to be a great Summer season in Lakes Entrance.

The Carnival is due to open by December 23, 2015, with a special Fund Raiser day being held.

Purchase an Armband for $30 and get unlimited rides from 12:30 till 3:30 pm.

All proceeds will go to the Lakes Entrance Fireworks Committee.

The Carnival continues throughout the Summer holidays, open from 6pm till 10pm, every day, until the end of January, 2016.

On NYE, the Carnival will be open later than the usual 10:00pm, to cater for the large crowds expected on the Foreshore.

Michaela, as far as i'm aware, the Carnival will be operating through the Australia Day Long Weekend, and then up to the end of January. I suspect they'll be packing up when the school holidays end.

Hi J.ralph, entry into the Chants Carnival is free.

You then purchase coupons, at the following prices:
$25 for 30 coupons
$50 for 60 coupons etc

The average price for small kids rides is 4-6 coupons, and the cost for the 2 x big rides is 15 coupons each. All the other rides, dodgems, slides, whizzy things falls in between at about 6-12 coupons per ride.

The prices for the Lakes Entrance carnival are cheaper than the Melbourne Show, so the value is good.

No, there will not be another $30 armband day, as that day was Chant's Carnival donating all the proceeds to the Lakes Entrance Fireworks Festival. I hear on the grapevine it raised almost $7000 for the evening. We're lucky to have such a community minded business in town, willing to contribute so much.

The Carnival is setup on the Foreshore in Lakes Entrance, just near the infamous Footbridge crossing the lake to the beach.

If you get to the only set of traffic lights in Lakes Entrance, on the Princes Hwy, then you're there.
