Here's a rundown on the Activities happening in and around Lakes Entrance for October 2016
The Australian Adventure Festival kicks off on Saturday, October 22, with Trail Running and Adventure Racing throughout the wilds of the forests of East Gippsland.
Lakes Entrance hosts events on Sunday, October 23, with a 25km Mountain Bike race commencing from Forestech (just west of Lakes Entrance). The race will take riders through the forests bordering Lakes Entrance, with magnificent scenery along the way.
Two Fun Runs happen in Lakes Entrance on Sunday, with a 5km and 10km run, along with a Kids Adventure Challenge on the Foreshore.
There will be other activities on the Foreshore, including the Petting Farm with little critters for the kids to nurse and pat, Pony rides, Face Painting and more.

Melbourne Cup long weekend, will see our annual Duck Race held on Monday, October 31, on the Foreshore near the Footbridge.
Hundreds of Ducks will traverse the course, aiming for the $200 cash prize money for first place. Vouchers for 2nd, 3rd and Last.
Ducks will be on sale, on the Foreshore from about 1:00 pm onwards. Each duck is worth $5, or you can pickup 3 for $10.
All proceeds from the Duck Race, go to the Lakes Entrance Action & Development Association, who work tirelessly promoting Lakes Entrance to the world.
