Lakes Entrance: Town jetties for Mullet and Trevally taking worms and pilchards. Bunga Beach is producing salmon with blue bait and poppers offshore. Six and Seven Mile Reef for pinkies and snapper around 1- 2kg mark, on the self for sword fish.
Lake Tyers: Bream are about, try Blackfellows Arm and the power lines. Devils Hole and heading up to Nowa Nowa is producing some bream and the odd tailor, prawn is the best bait.
Mitchell River: Backwaters for bream and from Shadoof Lodge to The Cut are also good for bream. Best results on spider crab, prawn and soft plastics.
Tambo River: Bream are about from the highway bridge, the Rough Road and down to the Three Gums. Best results using peeled prawns and spider crab.
Nicholson: From the boat ramp and between the two bridges is the best spot for bream using unweighted prawn for bait.
Metung: Whiting have returned to Shaving Point. Bait of choice being worm and pipi.
Paynesville: Structures, town jetties, Duck Arm and Newlands Arm for bream on an unweighted prawn for best results.
Hollands Landing: The Wood Pile, Hollands Landing and Tom’s Creek area are best spots for bream on spider crab, worm and prawn.
Marlo: Off shore is fishing well with gummies and yellow fin tuna. Surf for salmon, the two rivers Snowy and Brodribb are worth a look for bream, luderick and mullet.
Bemm River: The best spot for bream and tailor are up in the Bemm River, using lures.
Tamboon Inlet: Best spot for bream is up past Furnell Landing and into Lake Furnell with unweighted prawn for best results.
Mallacoota: Flathead are in the Top Lake at Sandy Point and South West Arm, best baits are prawns and soft plastics. Try surf for salmon, and Harrison’s Channel for luderick on weed.
Omeo High Country: CLOSED SEASON.
