Lakes Entrance Fishing Report

Lakes Entrance: Reeves Channel has salmon cruising up towards Metung area. Surf beaches for Salmon. Ferryman Jetty have leather jacket. Off shore Six and Eight Mile Reef for pinkies. The Highway Bridge and up the North Arm for bream. Nungurner Jetty for luderick on weed.

Lake Tyers: Bream are about Cameron’s Arm and heading up to Nowa Nowa taking prawn. The Devil’s Hole for flathead on vibes. Try Mill Point, Blackfellows Arm for bream and pinkies on prawn and pilchards. The Cherry Tree area worth a try.

Mitchell River: Best spot for bream is The Cut, try up to Shadoof Lodge and the Backwater, best results spider crab, worm and local prawn.

Tambo River: The best spot for bream is from the power lines, past the Bridge and up to The Cliffs. Preferred bait being peeled prawn.

Nicholson: Bream are active from the boat ramp, up to the Highway Bridge and the Rail Bridge. The best bait is peeled prawn and very light sinkers or drifting bait.

Metung: All town jetties are good for bream with pipi, prawn and vibes for best results.

Paynesville: Bream are active around the river mouth of the Mitchell. Mullet are moving around jetties and the Strait with best results using pipi and worm.

Hollands Landing: Seacombe Landing, the Wood Pile are best spots for bream in early morning, using worm, soft shell and peeled prawn. Blonde Bay is also a good spot to try for bream, mullet and luderick.

Marlo: The Lake system is producing mullet and tailor. Best bait is worm and lures. Surf beach has salmon and tailor on pilchards and poppers. Off shore is producing a mixed bag

Bemm River: Up the Bemm River is best for bream and tailor with soft plastics and lures for good results. Pearl Point for salmon on pilchards and poppers.

Tamboon Inlet: Furnell Landing for bream around 32cm are at the month of the river with prawn. The football ground has bream and trevally, the best bait being pilchards. Surf for salmon on pilchards and poppers

Mallacoota: Bottom Lake for bream on prawn, Harrison’s Channel for luderick. Top Lake for flathead and some bream taking lures. Surf for salmon on pilchards and poppers.

Omeo High Country: CLOSED SEASON.
