Lakes Entrance: Myer street jetty for trevally best bait being pilchards. The North Arm by boat is good for bream. Go to the upper reaches offshore for pinkies at six mile reef.
Lake Tyers: Bream is at the top of the Nowa Nowa Arm at the boat ramp and off the bank using local prawn.
Mitchell River: Perch are at the Highway Bridge. Best time is early morning and prawn and grubs are preferred bait. Bream are at the Shadoof Lodge and down to the cut. The backwater is also fishing well using prawn, plastics and spider crab.
Tambo River: From the boat ramp and heading towards Whelans are the best spots for bream. Best results on worm and local prawn.
Nicholson: Bream is being caught from the boat ramp to the Little Cliffs using prawn and worm as preferred baits. Flathead are near the railway bridge and up to the Car Bodies using soft plastics, vibes and prawn.
Metung: Good catches of whiting are being taken at Shaving Point with best results on pipis and worms.
Paynesville: Best spot for bream is at the Strait and jetties with best bait being prawn.
Hollands Landing: Plenty of garfish in Lake Victoria using worm and bread with a float or drifting. The Strait is producing nice bream taking plastics and crabs towards evening for best results.
Marlo: The two rivers are producing bream with prawn and soft plastics. Try the surf for salmon on pilchard and poppers and French’s Narrows for flathead on prawn and plastics.
Bemm River: Bream are in the lake and the channel using sandworm. Surf Beach is producing salmon on pilchard and poppers.
Tamboon Inlet: From the campsite head towards Furnell Landing and into Lake Furnell for bream using prawn and worm. Weather has been cold.
Mallacoota: Bottom Lake is producing bream and flathead. Luderick are at Harrisons Channel taking weed. The Top Lake is producing bream using yabbies and prawns.
Omeo High Country: Best spot for trout is the Mitta-Mitta and the Big River using lures and soft plastics.
