Lakes Entrance: Along the rock wall for yellowfin bream with worm and peeled prawn. The Myer Street Jetty for trevally on pilchard. The surf for salmon. Whiting are about the Barrier Landing and islands. Offshore at Six Mile Reef for pinkies.
Lake Tyers: From the island and heading up to Nowa Nowa for bream and tailor. Flathead are about with best results mid - afternoon on prawn and soft plastics.
Mitchell River: The river mouth and heading back to the highway bridge for bream taking spider crab, local prawn and lures. Some perch taking lures are about from the Butter Factory and the highway bridge.
Tambo River: Bream are about Rough Road, the highway bridge and up to the Blue Hole. Best results from using yabbies, local prawn and worm.
Nicholson: Between the two bridges and heading down towards the 2nd Fence for bream, using local prawn
Metung: The best spot for good size bream is from the town jetties, using prawn and soft plastics.
Paynesville: The Strait and town jetties are best for bream on prawn and soft plastics.
Hollands Landing: McLennan Strait is about the best spot for bream. Also try The Woodpile and Holland’s Landing using prawn, cut pilchard and worm.
Marlo: With the weather conditions there is some luderick about on worm. Try to find a sheltered spot around the rivers for bream. The surf for salmon on pilchard and poppers.
Bemm River: The entrance is open. Bream and perch in the main lake taking worm and soft plastics, trolling with metal lures for tailor. The surf for salmon on pilchard and poppers.
Tamboon Inlet: For bream try Peach Tree Creek and Fisherman’s Landing with prawn and worm as the best baits. Furnell Landing and heading up towards Cann River for flathead, perch and bream.
Mallacoota: Offshore for gummies on pilchard. The Bottom Lake for flathead taking lures. Harrison’s Channel for trevally on pilchard. The Narrows for flathead. Bream in the Top Lake and at Gypsy Point, taking prawn.
Omeo High Country: Finding trout is a bit hard at the moment, but give the Mitta Mitta and Anglers Rest a try.
