Lakes Entrance: Town jetties have trevally and mullet. Best results on worm and blue bait. The surf beach has salmon on lures, pilchard and poppers. Offshore at Six Mile Reef for pinkies and flathead. Gummies are closer to the beach on pilchard and squid.
Lake Tyers: Bream are about at the top end of the Nowa Nowa Arm at Devils Hole. Blackfellows Arm and No. 2 Boat Ramp for Tailor taking pilchard, best time towards evening. The surf for salmon.
Mitchell River: The highway bridge area for perch chasing lures. The Grassy Bank and towards Two Bells area is best for Bream using spider crab and prawn.
Tambo River: From the end of Rough Road and heading down to the river mouth is the spot for Bream taking local frozen prawn.
Nicholson: From the highway bridge towards the Little Cliffs and the river mouth are the best spots for Bream on frozen local prawn.
Metung: The Boardwalk is producing flathead, best results using fresh or frozen local prawn.
Paynesville: Tailor are in the Strait chasing silver lures. Mullet are also about. The Resides Jetty on Raymond Island for bream on local prawn.
Hollands Landing: The Public Jetty near the caravan park, the boat ramp known as Deep Water Jetty for bream and mullet. Pelican Point near weed beds casting out with worm for Tailor.
Marlo: The lake system and river are producing bream on frozen local prawn. The surf for salmon on the usual baits. Offshore at Marlo Reef for Kingfish, flathead and gummies.
Bemm River: Bream are in the lake taking prawn, lures and plastics. Flathead are also taking plastics. The surf for salmon on blue bait and poppers.
Tamboon Inlet: Mud Point, the Football ground and Eagons Bank for bream. Shallow banks for flathead on prawn and plastics
Mallacoota: The surf for salmon on pilchards and poppers. Tailor are at Fisheries Jetty and some flathead as well. The Top Lake for bream on yabbies and prawn.
Omeo High Country: Anglers Rest and the Mitta Mitta are good for trout on hoppers, spinners, lures and soft plastics.
