Lakes Entrance: Good size Salmon are biting on pilchard in Reeve Channel and off the beach. Trevally are still being caught off the town jetties.
Lake Tyers: Water in the lake has warmed up resulting in Flathead taking plastic lures in the shallows and prawn in deep water, around Long Point. Bream have been landed at Trident Arm and the power lines on peeled prawn.
Mitchell River: Bream are active from Shadoof Lodge to the cut. Spider crab, prawn and sandworm are best bait. The highway bridge area has produced Estuary Perch on “vibes”. Some Trout are still being caught in deep water at Lindenow.
Tambo River:Marshalls Flat to the mouth has Bream taking prawn, sandworm and crab.
Nicholson: Bream are biting in deep water under railway bridge. Sandworm and prawn are best bait.
Metung: Silver Trevally, Bream and Mullet have been landed around Shaving Point and the jetty on Bancroft Bay. Try peeled prawn and sandworm.
Paynesville: The Melbourne side of the Strait is producing Bream on prawn and sandworm. The jetties have Luderick taking weed. Salmon and Mullet can be had using metal lures and sandworm respectively.
Hollands Landing: The “Wood Pile” area in McLennan Strait has good size Bream “on the go”. Prawn and pippi are best bait.
Marlo: Both rivers have Estuary Perch taking sandworm around snags. Plenty of Bream, Luderick and Mullet are in the Snowy River up to the highway bridge. “Gummies” and Flathead are still offshore.
Tamboon Inlet: The jetty at the camp site is the best spot for Bream, on prawn and sandworm.
Bemm River: The Channel, lake and river has large Bream and Flathead. “Vibes”, prawn and sandworm are getting results. Trolling deep diving lures will catch Tailor.
Mallacoota: The rivers and Top Lake are holding good numbers of Bream. The Bottom Lake has Flathead and Tailor striking hard bodied and soft plastics. Use “Laser Lures” for Salmon at the entrance.
