Lakes Entrance: Ferryman’s and Floating Dragon Jetties have king george and silver whiting with sandworm as preferred bait. Salmon are at Eastern Beach and Bunga Beach around the 3kg mark taking blue bait. Offshore six and eight mile reef for pinkies taking pilchards.
Lake Tyers: Best spots for bream at the moment is Blackfellow’s Arm using peeled prawn. Long Point is also working well but in the morning for best results on peeled prawn as well.
Mitchell River: From the highway bridge and down to grassy banks, the bluff and the cut area for bream taking spider crab, worm and prawn as preferred bait. The odd perch at the highway bridge on prawn and crab.
Tambo River: The lucerne paddock, highway bridge, whelans and towards the boat ramp are best spots for bream on local prawn and worm.
Nicholson: The highway, the railway bridge and the reeds are the best spots for bream, either early morning or late afternoon with prawn as preferred bait.
Metung: The whiting have gone from Shaving Point and are now at the barrier jetty on the left hand side and into the weed banks with mussels as preferred bait.
Paynesville: The Strait and town jetties are best spots at the moment for bream. Bait of choice being prawn.
Hollands Landing: Wood Pile and Hollands Landing are producing bream and garfish using soft plastics, prawn and worm. Give the eel farm a look as well.
Marlo: The junction of the two rivers for bream and the odd perch. Try around the islands as well. The surf for salmon with pilchards and poppers. Offshore for pinkies, flathead and gummies.
Bemm River: The lake is closed. Surf beach for salmon taking pilchard and poppers. Luderick are about in the river taking sandworm, bream are taking soft plastics. The channel for bream taking worm.
Tamboon Inlet: Bream are in the river taking prawn and worm. Peters rock for pinkies on blue bait and pilchards. Flathead are in the sowest bay with DOA soft plastic prawn as preferred bait.
Mallacoota: Bream and flathead are in the top lake taking prawn and yabbies. Trevally are about the bottom lake taking white bait and blue bait. Harrison Channel for luderick on weed. The surf beach for salmon.
Omeo High Country: CLOSED SEASON.
