Red Bluff Beach is predominantly a surfing beach, as it has a reef off-shore. However, it's stunning sandstone cliffs make for some great scenery and a beautiful spot to take the kids for an outing.
Head to Lake Tyers Beach, 8km from Lakes Entrance, then just before you get to the Lake Tyers Beach township, you'll see a sign off to the right. A 500m drive to a carpark with toilets. Then take the walking track down to the beach. It is a steep but stable track.
The beach itself is prone to many rips, so it's not ideal for kids and swimming. Having a reef just off shore makes for some great snorkling activities and mainly great surf breaks.
From here, you can follow the sign posted walking tracks and walk all the way into Lake Tyers Beach right down to the Waterwheel Tavern.
