Beware of this beach, it is on a reef, ideal for surfing, but not for swimming due to rips.
To access the swimming lake and the beach, continue along the main road, through the township, to the end. The carpark is at the end of the main road.
You will see a milkbar and the Waterwheel Beach Tavern.
This is the Lake, ideal for children to swim. The water is shallow, calm and thus warms up quickly in the summer. Access to the main beach is here too.
