All is calm on the Gippsland Lakes, now the storms have passed.
Autumn in Lakes Entrance and the Gippsland Lakes, is probably the most calm and stable time of the year, as far as the weather goes.
With light north westerlies keeping the air warm, we should see temperatures hover around the hi teens and low twenties for a couple of more weeks.
Crab fishing is still in season, with plenty being caught off the Bullock Island jetties.
The East Gippsland Shire is planning a Free Camping area on the Melbourne side of Lakes Entrnace.
The idea is for RVers and self-contained caravans to be able to spend a night, or two, free of charge, just out of town. Not encroaching too much on the local caravan park businesses. Watch out for more news on that soon.
